『封神演義』『封神演義』は、同名の中国古典小説を題材にした歴史ファンタジー漫画。安能務の原作を藤崎竜が作画し、日本やアジア各国で大ヒットしました。

中国には「太公望が釣りをしているところにやって来る人は、自発的に集まって来る者たちだ」ということわざがあります。これは渭水のほとりで釣りをしている太公望に、姫昌（後の周の文王）がわざわざ会いにやってきた故事から来ています。

二人が出会ったとき太公望は80歳を超えたお爺さんですが、このマンガでは若者として描かれています。また、妲己、聞仲、太上老君、申公豹、哪吒、杨戬、黄飛虎などの人物たちもみなイケメン、美女キャラ揃い。こうした独創性が人気の理由です。
