Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776m (12,389 ft). It straddles the boundary of Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures. Since ancient times, Mount Fuji has become the main place of traditional mountain worship. And It had inspired waka poets and ukiyo-e artists. Mount Fuji’s beautiful shape is also popular from foreign tourists, it is a well-known symbol of Japan. It was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site in 2013.
